Mindfulness
Mindfulness means being fully aware of the presence, without judgement. It's the opposite from: ‘running on the automatic pilot’, doing things without being aware.
Often, while we are doing our normal things, in our heads we are occupied with making plans, memories, concerns, analyses and so on. Our consciouceness is in the past or in the future, but not with what is here or now. Our thoughts are stuck in the standard groove, we are thinking, feeling and acting in circles. In doing so we persist in our behavior without knowing, or worse, without wanting.
For whom?
Maybe you worry too much, suffer from lack of concentration or stress, or run on this automatic pilot. Focus and awareness will bring you into the now and can help you break out of these circles. Focus is thé way to live your thoughts consciously. It sort of allows you to observe your thoughts from the outside. On this account you can postpone the associated feelings and first try to understand these thoughts. Because these thoughts are not facts! And, are these thoughts really yours, or did you take them over from somebody else?
Reviews
Valerie: 'The training was an eye opener for me. As a psychologist, I learned a lot in the training and broadened my perspective further. I found Isabel calm, competent and involved. She had a pleasant voice which is very appropriate for mindfulness. I would recommend the training to anyone who wants to become more aware of themselves and of the here and now.'
