Jump aboard for a wonderful Mindful program in Galicia

Sail along the sheltered, crystal-clear Rías Baixas and drop anchor at idyllic beaches. You'll find yourself losing track of time once you're on the water. How wonderful it is to get away from it all. Depending on the weather and the program, we'll hoist the sails or you can take the helm, if you prefer.

'You can't change the wind, but you can adjust your sails.'

In this area on the west coast of Spain, happiness is still very common. People are friendly, take their time, and are caring. There are many beaches, rugged coastlines, and the vegetation is very diverse. In the summer months, it's usually around 25 degrees Celsius, making it pleasant and not as hot as on the east coast. The seawater is also a bit cooler in Galicia, but (almost) everyone dives in.

The SOUL sessions we had were a bit different here and there. In any case, they remain playful, with a combination of mindfulness, yoga, qi gong, tension releasing exercises (TRE), breathwork, and creative expression (dance, voice liberation, mantra chanting, intuitive painting, or writing). A cacao ceremony may also be performed. Of course, only if you're interested. Experience with the various sessions is not necessary. The magic lies in letting go; then the rest will follow naturally.

We invite you to live our slogan: 'Enjoy the Room to Be.' We've noticed that taking the best possible care of yourself -so feel free to grab that apple or that cup of tea in between- combined with the elements, makes the impact of our SOUL sessions so intense. Guests regularly experience beautiful insights or spiritual experiences in addition to peace and quiet.

The sessions are partly on board in a beautiful sheltered bay of the Rías Baixas and partly in the stunning natural surroundings. You will (if you wish) take the most beautiful mindful walks (partly in silence) along the rugged coastline of the mainland and on Islas de Cíes, a beautiful national park with pristine white beaches and views of the turquoise sea.

In between, there's plenty of time to relax and do whatever you feel like (swimming, (learning to) sail, snorkeling, hiking, reading, writing, or simply relaxing in a hammock or on the beach).

Do you play an instrument and like to bring it along? No problem. Remember, there's a guitar and ukulele on board that you can use as well.

The language spoken is usually Dutch and occasionally English (depending on the group composition).

The captain is also the cook. He prepares fresh vegetarian meals or fish for you (depending on the group). Two times he has a break. Then you go ashore for lunch (free day) or dinner (last day) at your own expense.

Your free day will be halfway through the 7-day trip. We'll part ways for a day. We'll return to Vigo by boat and, after breakfast, take you to the train to Santiago de Compostela, the fascinating place where hundreds of pilgrims gather every day at the final destination, the cathedral. How nice is it to be a pilgrim for a while by walking the last few kilometers? You can also take a taxi with others to be dropped off somewhere for a longer walk. Would you prefer a more peaceful experience? Then take the ferry, for example, for a day trip to Cangas (coastal walk and beach) or to explore national park, Islas de Ons (book well in advance!). Feel free to make your own choices.

When you return on board, your towels will be washed, everything dusted and swept, water refilled, and groceries replenished :)

We'd love to meet you in Vigo. We have a lovely mooring for the "Marie" with an unobstructed view of the bay. In this harbor, you'll immediately smell the fresh air and feel the spaciousness. If you bend your head towards the crystal-clear water, you'll see the most beautiful fish, and if you're lucky, a school of dolphins along the way.

Simone: 'This is where it all started... What a wonderful experience this was! To come home to yourself in a safe environment. Personally, during this trip, I not only came home to myself, but I also found the strength to choose myself. This trip was literally life-changing! And I made some wonderful friends, and even a new chef friend :)

How do you get to Vígo and the "Marie" from the Netherlands?

The best way to fly to Porto in Portugal is with Transavia or Ryanair from Amsterdam, Maastricht, or Eindhoven. KLM sometimes has a great deal. There are also regular attractive deals from Brussels to Porto. Flights from Amsterdam (via Madrid) to Vigo might also be worth checking out. We're happy to advise you if you need help.

Flying to Porto? Take the bus from Porto Airport upon arrival. Several buses run daily. The journey takes about 2 hours, and a return ticket costs around €16.00 - €50.00 (booking early is recommended). For departure times and exact prices, check one of the following websites:

If you want to get to Porto city center from the airport first, the metro is convenient. For a few euros, you can reach the heart of this charming city, for example, in the Sao Bento district. We always include tips for hostels, restaurants, sights, and activities in the attachments. From the city center, you can also find buses to Vígo on the websites mentioned above. The journey takes about 2.5 hours.

Note: Portugal is one hour earlier than Spain.

Would you like to join us but don't want to fly? Buses and trains are also possible. Feel free to call or email for more information.
