Breathwork

The way we breathe, so we live. When your breathing changes, your life changes. This is the essence of connected breathwork. It is a technique that builds a bridge to your subconscious and brings you into contact with unprocessed emotions, beliefs and blockages. By consciously choosing this powerful, loving and healing method, you invite every part of yourself to flow again and relax in what is now, without having to go into the story behind it. Your cells come out of oppression and your frozen emotions are released. You come back to yourself!

How does a connected breathing session work?

First you start with the active phase by doing nothing other than consciously connecting the inhalation and exhalation, without pauses. You inhale completely into the lower abdomen (active) and exhale calmly (relaxed). You do this lying (or sitting) on a mattress. In the meantime, I am with you and try to read your body and apply targeted interventions. The entire process is aimed at letting congealed energy flow again at cellular level and making you feel that emotion that you have (unconsciously) hidden away. So feeling is the key!

After about half an hour, the relaxation phase follows, in which what has been touched is given time to be integrated. This phase is essential for the session. You may still feel certain emotions or just deep relaxation. You may also feel like a bulldozer has run over you. That is part of it and does not mean anything other than that a lot has happened. A deep relaxation is often the result afterwards, with or without insights or answers to handle things differently.

There is then room to provide feedback. Our advice is to check for yourself whether you really want to talk. Is it really necessary? The risk is that you will go straight back to your head. You can always come back to it later.

For whom?

Perhaps you are not feeling well and are experiencing shallow breathing or perhaps you are holding your breath? This may have to do with past events that you didn't want to feel. Maybe you once shied away from something, or you felt like you weren't good enough because you kept being rejected and not being seen for who you were. Those events may have hurt so much that you (un)consciously chose a survival strategy, which caused you to live in your head. Feeling is then parked. It could be that you allowed the painful feeling to solidify and disconnected from yourself, which also changed your breathing. This then becomes superficial or sometimes stops completely, so as not to have to feel the pain.

Effect

Regular consciously connected breathing gives you more energy and zest for life, physical complaints decrease or disappear and contact with your body and yourself improves. You also become more and more relaxed and emotionally balanced, which allows you to gain beautiful insights. And that can influence the choices you make in your life. would love to guide you into the magical world of this breathing technique!

Juliette: 'Recently received a 1-on-1 breathing session with Isabel. What a unique, special and unforgettable spiritual journey this had become. Got in completely safe and secure, ready to go inside. Into myself to complete pieces of my puzzle. Not knowing that the puzzle piece was another hidden piece. But oh how beautiful this was. How I needed this. Isabel is a sweetheart who I met a few years ago during my soul sailing trip on the Wadden Sea and last September in Spain on board 'Marie'. A lot had already happened on board this trip, but I recently underwent the last part in a 1 on 1 session. I will always cherish this experience, I can now continue my path in strength and confidence.'

Pauline: 'When I arrived at Isabel's, I was in 'go, go' mode. I thought: just take a breath, and then let's do some shopping, go home, cook and then do the administration. Who would have thought that so much would come undone that all I could do was listen to my own deep sadness? Isabel reassured me and said that it was a good thing that sadness was being released. Her voice and warm hands calmed me down and in the end she turned out to be right: the breathing work now makes me feel ten times lighter!'

Henk: 'I went into it a bit sober, but was extremely impressed by the effect. I went into an incredibly deep trip of relaxation. I've never been this deep before. My body started to tingle from head to toe. It seemed like Isabel knew exactly when and where to touch me to help the process along. I felt reborn after the session and am looking forward to more.'

Annat: 'Because I sleep poorly and breathe heavily, I looked for a Breathing Coach who could help me breathe more through my stomach and find more peace. I ended up at Isabel's by chance. From the first moment I felt good with her. After a short intake interview, in which I felt free to tell a lot, we started working on Ademwerk. I had not really studied it beforehand, but Isabel helped me to breathe calmly and clearly until at a certain point I felt my hands and feet start to tingle and a space opened up in my head that I had not experienced before. Tears came without further thoughts, but upon returning to normal breathing, I felt that I had hit something that has made me think about letting go and meaning until now. I'm thinking of giving myself a present.
